My mini waterfall almost stopped working — and here’s why.

The pump hose was completely clogged with algae. Turns out, my mini paludarium sits on a sunny windowsill, and the hidden pump faces direct sunlight. That side gets the most algae — fast. Over time, it silently blocks the flow.

If you don’t catch this early, your whole setup could stop working.

👉 Cover the back with aquarium film or move it to a shaded spot to prevent algae growth.
